‘Evacuate J&K labourers stranded outside’

JAMMU, May 6: National Panthers Party (NPP) has sought immediate evacuation of J&K labourers stranded outside.
In a handout, Harsh Dev Singh, Panthers Party Chairman said several labourers from J&K stranded outside are reported to have sold their watches, mobiles etc to meet the requirements for food, shelter and transportation. He claimed that rendered penniless, these stranded labourers are eagerly awaiting their evacuation to J&K.
“While other States have pressed special trains into service for the eviction of their labourers stranded outside, authorities in J&K appears to be in a state of utter confusion with regard to the modus operandi to be followed for the same,” he maintained.
Singh also claimed that the help-lines established by the authorities in this regard are either non-functional or non-responsive.
He further added that J&K authorities are barely issuing statements for the early evacuation of J&K stranded labourers without rendering any kind of assistance to them.
