Srinagar, Feb 16: A foreign delegation with envoys from Europe and Africa that is arriving Srinagar tomorrow is likely to meet recently elected District Development Council (DDC) members and a cross-section of people besides local administration.
The delegation is arriving tomorrow on two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir to assess the development work and the security situation. The situation assessment comes after the successful completion of the District Development Council elections.
During their two-day visit starting tomorrow, the envoys would receive first-hand information on the development work undertaken by the J&K administration after abrogation of the special status of the erstwhile State on August 5, 2019.
The delegation will arrive tomorrow morning and go to Budgam district headquarters where they will meet recently elected DDC members and BDC chairpersons.
They will then go to Lalit hotel where they will meet the recently elected DDC members, DDC chairpersons and vice chairpersons.
This will be followed by visit to Hazratbal shrine on the banks of Dal lake. They will later meet traders, civil society and artisans. This will be followed by media interaction with a select group of media persons.
They will interact with the officers from the local administration at dinner.
On the second day, the ambassadors would visit Jammu where they would be meeting Lt Governor Manoj Sinha besides some of the DDC members and representatives of some social organisations.
