JAMMU, Nov 10: Ek Sath Rang Mandal staged Vijay Malla’s nukkad natak “Teri Guthree Mey Laga Chhor Musafir Jaag Zara” during its Monday theatre series at Indira Colony, Janipur.
The natak was based on the incidents of cheating and theft by so called fake babas and sadhus in the present scenario.
This play was staged in collaboration with Unison Cultural Troupe and BLSKS.
According to the play, the people especially housewives should be vigilant and cautious about the activities of these cheats with greed of doubling their ornaments and cash. Such incidents are common now in our society. Cheats move in groups and trap innocent and illiterate ladies with their gimmicks. It is our responsibility to educate ladies against such incidents, because ladies are easy target of their mission. We must educate our females who are alone in their homes in our absence that if they smell something wrong or see such kind of people in their locality, they should immediately call their neighbors and inform to police, so that such incidents are controlled and cheats are arrested.
A progressive nukkad group song composed by music director of ESRM Munish Kerni was also sung to support this nukkad.
Actors who performed were MC Kotwal, Anuroop Pathania, Tahira Malik, Surbhi Sharma, Kanta Sharma, Laksh Bali, Rakesh Katoch, Ashwani Bhola, Kuldeep Raj (singer) and Vijay Malla.
This play was written and directed by Vijay Malla and assisted by Anuroop Pathania.
