JAMMU, July 22: Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM) in collaboration with Women Welfare Organization (WWO) today staged “Muft Ka Chandan Ghissey Mere Nandan” in its Monday Theatre Series at Environmental Educational Institute, Jullaka Mohalla, Jain Bazaar.
The play was written and directed by eminent theatrist of State Vijay Malla and assisted by Navjyot Singh.
The play starts with effective “vakkas” by the actors with aggressive temperament and traditional sumooh song “Jaago Bandhu Jaago Bhaiyya”.
The problems of the young generation, old age people, self made employees, traded by corruption mania and drug addicted youth were depicted during the play. They young generation is not aware of traditional colours, cultural events and historical personalities.
The actors who acted in the play were Rajat Labroo, Atul Mehra, Mohit Bedi, Arun Singh, Kumari Shallu, Riya Basotra, Anuroop Pathania and Vijay Malla.
On the occasion, Usha Anand, president, WWO, was the chief guest, who while speaking said that this play is a teacher for the children’.
Among others, who witnessed the show were Alka Saraf, Aneeta Abrol, Romesh Pappu, president, Unison culture, students and faculty members of the Institute.
