JAMMU, Mar 16: ESRM today presented its 134th Monday theatre, in which Vijay Malla’s play “Balak Bhookha Aur Pagal,” was staged in collaboration with BLSKS at Indira Colony in Janipur.
Before starting the play, two-minute silence was observed for paying tributes to the departed soul of senior theatrist of our state Late R K Sehgal (president of Sangam True Art Production).
The play revolves around a citizen’s moral responsibility to help children who are deprived of education and necessities of life. In the play, a family adopts four children, two girls and a boy. One of the girls is mad and needs medical treatment for normal life. The father of that rich family instructs his own children that such situation are eminent in life, such things can be met with anybody, so we should prompt to help such children who are hungry, who are uneducated or who are lunatic. In such cases we should volunteer our self for help at any movement The father says that if these ignored children are well guided, helped and educated, they can be apart of main stream in the society .
The play was an eye opener for the people who take undue advantages of such children and even force them for child labour. In a way, the writer has indirectly hint that we have still such cases in the society where these poor lunetics and needy children are exploited for own gains.
This play was written and directed by Vijay Malla and assisted by Anuroop Pathania.
Actors who acted in the play, were Anuroop Pathania, Rahul Pandita, Ankur Sharma, Qurat-ul-Ain, Nazuk Bhagat, Laksh Bali and Vijay Malla.
