JAMMU, Sept 19: Ek Sath Rang Mandal today presented its 213rd Nukkad “Saksharta Aur Jaagrukta” in collaboration with Unison Cultural Troupe and BLSKS at Pacca Talab park Rehari Jammu.
Story is simple and effective which teaches people that they should use their knowledge and experience for teaching those who need it.
Madhav Ram is a retired teacher and is very much worried that despite of many schools in his native place maximum of his friends are illiterate. Even they do not know how to write their name.
He decides that he will run a charitable school for those villagers who have crossed their age of school and are totally illiterate. For this mission, he takes with him some educated youth for different sections.
Madhav Ram starts one section for those who have not attended school even up to the age of 15 years. Second section was meant for imparting knowledge about law and reforms, so that a common person should know laws and rules of land. Third section was meant for those who had attained age of 50 years.
This mission also included computer teaching by the students. Madhav Ram invites children, elders and every section of people to tell them about his mission which was appreciated. Madhav Ram tells them that literacy is not only hindi, urdu or english writing, but also total awareness about life, elections, right of their vote, insurance, different schemes run by Government for all sections of society. This mission was called Saksharta and Jagrukta.
A large number of people witnessed this play. Actors of Nukkad were Anuroop Pathania, Simran Sharma, Mohit Chargotra, Kamli, Kanta Sharma, Kuldeep Raj, Prabal Sharma and Vijay Malla.
The play was written and directed by Vijay Malla and assisted by Anuroop Pathania.
