JAMMU, Dec 11: Miran Sahib police arrested a drug peddler, who managed to escape during checking few days back.
As per police sources, few days back, a police team during checking intercepted a person and recovered heroin and air pistol from his possession. The person managed to escape from the spot.
On specific information, a team from Miran Sahib Police Station apprehended the person, who was trying to flee away to the neighbouring State to evade his arrest.
The arrested person has been identified as Parvinder Singh alias Param, son of Rajinder Singh alias Kaka, a resident of Ward Number 3, Simbal Camp.
A case under FIR Number 163/17 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at Miran Sahib Police Station and further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Ajit Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
