ERA conducts workshops for construction workers

Srinagar, May 13: Jammu and Kashmir Economic Reconstruction Agency (J&K ERA) conducted onsite workshops for the sensitization of construction workers, working on various infrastructure projects .
The spokesman of J&K ERA said main objective of the workshops was to sensitize construction workers about importance of adopting safety measures during work, like wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), core labour standards and gender equality.
The two day sensitization workshops were held at Kralpora labour camp for workers involved in construction of Jehangir chowk- Rambagh Expressway corridor, Panthachowk bus terminal for workers involved in construction of Athawjan Storm water drainage, at KMDA for workers of mechanized car parking facility and at Rawalpora for workers involved in the construction of Rawalpora- Chanapora storm water drainage project, the spokesman said.
