JAMMU, June 2: Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Regional Office, Jammu held awareness and outreach programme at Grauer & Well (I) Ltd, Ph-II, Industrial Area, Samba in association with Association of Industries, Samba.
Similar programme was organised at M/s Sutlej Textile Mill, Kathua.
Rizwan Uddin, PF Commissioner, J&K and Ladakh held broad discussion on Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995 and Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme, 1976.
Employers were advised to ensure that KYC (Specially Aaadhar) must be completed of all regular and contractual employees in time bound manner to avail online services of EPFO.
Representatives of Industrial Association, Samba present in the outreach programme were Raman Jolly, Arjun Malhota, Jaspal Singh, Rohit, Vinay Sharma, Sushil Sharma, Prabhat Kumar, D.C Sharma, Varun Balgotra, Balbeer Kumar, Amit Khanna, Satish Kumar and Gaurav.
At Outreach Programme in Kathua the PF Commissioner emphasized on Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995 and Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme, 1976, e-Nomination and KYC.
Long awaited technical issue was resolved through solution provided by IS Division.
About 4000 records of M/s Sutlej Textiles and Industries Limited were corrected.
PF final claim of Mohammad Aftab Ansari was processed for Rs. 11,202 along with that of Saudagar Kumar and Ajay Sangria.
The Regional PF Commissioner highlighted that all those eligible employees who were deprived of the pension are now covered under the Employees’ Pension Scheme after the implementation of the EPF & MP Act, 1952 in the UT of J&K and Ladakh from November 1, 2019.
He cited the importance and benefits of the Employees Deposit Linked Insurance scheme, 1976 and the Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995 which the subscribers of J&K and Ladakh were previously deprived of.
He informed that Provident Fund members under EPFO are also eligible for insurance benefit under EDLI Scheme up to Rs. 7 lakh whereas under erstwhile J&KEPF Act, 1961 benefit was available up to Rs 75,000.
