Ensure safety of Kashmiri students: Mir to Punjab CM

SRINAGAR, Jan 22: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president, Ghulam Ahmad Mir has urged the Punjab Chief Minister to ensure safety of Kashmir students in Mohali.
In a letter flashed to Punjab CM, Mir demanded speedy investigation into the barbaric assault on Kashmir students by a mob in Mohali and sought stern action against the culprits, under law.
JKPCC president strongly emphasized Punjab Chief Minister to look into the assault on Kashmiri students in Mohali while seeking stern action against culprits. Mir expressed resentment and strongly condemned the assault on students by a mob.
“The attack on students warrants stern action against the culprits,” Mir told the CM in his letter and also urged him to pass  directions to every concerned  especially Police authorities that security of JK students must be ensured and anyone found involved in intimidating them (students) be brought to book, Mir told the CM.
