Enhancement of relief sought

JAMMU, Dec 15: Kashmiri Khatri Hindu Maha Sabha (KKYS) and DKUYU its associated organization, under the chairmanship of its president Er Ramesh Chander Mahajan visited the non camps and migrants camps of Jammu region and interacted with various sections of migrants and discussed the various burning problems faced by them.
During the door to door meetings with migrants, the people suffering with chronic diseases have expressed their grave concern over the cumbersome procedure of sanctioning medical assistance in favour of single window families and low Paid pensioners and relief holders who are dependent on monthly cash assistance of Rs 2500 per soul. Many migrant patients shared their views about the lack of non awareness of medicare benefits to the patients facing lot of financial hardships.
The Sabha said that migrants who have developed serious and dangerous ailments are unable to manage expenses for their medicare with the meager relief assistance as such it has become necessary to simplify the procedure for sanction of medical assistance and benefits to the deserving migrants as well as relief holder families who have managed their domestic needs with meager amount of monthly relief also need to increase the relief from Rs 2500 per month per soul to Rs 7500 per month per soul with free medical aid.
They also expressed concern over delay in issuance of Aadhar cards to migrants due to which they have been deprived of relief for last five months.
They urged the Relief Organization to issue requisite certificates to migrants to apply for PM package and bifurcation of large families was also demanded.
