POONCH, Aug 24: The Sub Divisional Administration Mendhar in a joint operation today removed illegal encroachment on nearly 500 mt road in Kottan area today.
This road constructed by PMGSY from Kottan to Kandi had been encroached upon by one Abdul Aziz for the last about eight years. Due to dispute, the PMGSY authorities were also soft paddling over the issue and did not take much pains. On the directions of DC Poonch today, the SDM Mendhar Rahul Yadav and SDPO Riaz Tantray organised an operation and removed encroachment by using force. A JCB deployed for operation cleared the road during the day long operation. The locals have widely appreciated the action.
