Sir,
“Stri hi brahma bodhoovit; a woman is like God”. Status and position of women in Indian society has always remained paradoxical from times immemorial. On one hand, she has been given status of Goddess and on the other hand, she is ill treated for one reason by the male dominated society or by her own women folk. Day in and day out, she has to live a life full of challenges and compromises.
She has to perform every role diligently and efficiently expecting no rewards in return. Thus her significance in the society can’t be undermined.
Life of a womon is a life of compromises and sacrifice. She forgets her own self while taking care of her family. It is pertinent on the part of family members to take care of her health as well. Thus women need empowerment in every respect keeping in view the significance of their role in society.
