The Union Budget 2025-26 rightfully prioritizes agriculture, rural development, and financial empowerment for Garib, Yuva, Annadaata, and Nari. The PM Dhan Dhyan Krishi Yojana and the Mission for Aatmanirbharta in Pulses are commendable steps to boost farm productivity and reduce import dependency. Expanding Kisan Credit Cards and increasing loan limits will provide crucial financial support to farmers, fishermen, and dairy producers.
Additionally, the focus on rural infrastructure, market access, and agritourism will generate employment while strengthening supply chains. Women entrepreneurs and startups stand to benefit significantly from the enhanced Credit Guarantee Cover and the Rs 10,000 crore Alternate Investment Fund.
However, effective implementation is key. The Government must ensure timely credit disbursal, transparent subsidy mechanisms, and robust infrastructure to maximize benefits. If executed well, these initiatives will drive agricultural transformation and economic growth, securing a prosperous future for rural India.
