Employees of Swiggy hold protest, demand revocation of new rate card

JAMMU, Sept 19: The employees of Swiggy, an Indian online food ordering and delivery platform, held protest here today.
A large number of employees of Swiggy assembled at Gole Market Gandhi Nagar and held protest. They raised slogans in favour of their demand.
While talking to media persons, an employee of the Swiggy namely Nitin said that the company has issued a new rate card, which is not acceptable to them.
“We work hard till late night and we after implementation of the new rate card, we don’t get our appropriate wages”, he said, adding that they also talked to the TL of the company, who assured to redress our issue but nothing has been done.
We are protesting peacefully to project our demand of taking back the new rate card and more employees of the Swiggy will join the protest in the coming days.
We work in all weather conditions and our demand is to take back the new rate card”, he asserted. We will work on old rate card and not on new rate card, he added.
He appealed to all the employee of the Swiggy to remain united and protest peacefully.
He also appealed to the company to revoke the new rate card as it is not acceptable to the employees.
“We will continue our protest till our demand is not redressed”, he added.
