JAMMU, Oct 1: Various employees organizations/ unions have unanimously resolved to frame a united and common platform to project their issues before the Government.
A joint extraordinary meeting of various organizations, federation, associations and union including J&K National Trade Union Front headed by Mohd Gafoor Dar, J&K Govt Employees and workers Federation led by S Kulwant Sngh, United School Teachers associations headed by Hari Singh, PHE Water Workers employees Association/ INTUC chief headed by Shiv Kumar Sharma, All Clerical Cadre Employees Association led by Babu Hussain Malik, JK Lib Employees Association headed by Shahid Hussain, J&K ITI employees united front led by Nazir Ahmed, JDA Employees and Worker Union led by Rajinder Kumar, J&k Handicrafts Employee Association headed by Subash Chander, JK Legal Metrology Employees Associations led by Suresh Kumar, J&K Cultural Academy Employees Association headed by Romesh Singh, J&K Social Forestry Employees Union headed by Raj Singh, JK RET Teachers Associations led by Manohar Lal, JK Accounts Employees Association led by KS Samyal, J&K Sports Council Employees Associations headed by S Vikramjeet Singh, J&K Govt School Education Officers Association headed by Paramjit Singh and Public Sector Employees Associations headed by Pritam Singh was held at Jammu here today.
The agenda of the meeting was to form a united platform of various existing trade unions to achieve the common cause i.e. implementation of the 7th Pay Commission at par with Central Govt employees, regularization policy of all need base, casual labours employees, regularization policy for all need base, casual labours of various departments engaged after 1994 and creartion of their wages ahead.
The meeting discussed and deliberated all the pros and cons of framing a united platform and unanimously decided that a united platform is the need of the day without that we cannot achieve the common goal. The leaders participating the meeting adopted a resolution appearing to all those trade union colleagues, who could not attend the meeting to participate the nest meeting of united platform in the month of October where the next course of action will be decided.
Other leaders who participated in the meeting included Ranjit Singh, Lekh Raj Khajuria, Aslam Khan, Karan Singh, Piran Ditta, Balbir Singh, Kulesh Kumar, Parvez Ahmed, Kuldeep Jamwal, Barkat Ali, Hurdat Sharma, Himat Rai and others.
