Educational system, as a matter of fact, is the backbone of any nation. Swami Vivekananda once said, “The well-being of a nation does not depend only on the economic strength but it mainly consists in its educated youths”. And the worst tragedy with our country is that its educational side is in doldrums ever since independence. I am not concerned with how many ITs, Company Secretaries, and Chartered Accountants, IAS or IPS officers we have produced in our country. What compels my mind to keep on musing is whether we have produced good citizens and good human beings or not. A man on a high pedestal with low intellect is of no use to his motherland and such souls are in abundance on this Indian sub-continent. If I am on the wrong then why is this country today crying in pains? The genesis of the entire problem lies in our poor educational system.
