Electricity tariff

Sir,
The Chief Minister while addressing a workers meeting assured them that  electricity tariff would be reduced to give some relief to people of the State.
It is quite appreciated that the Chief Minister is aware of the problems people face due to increase in prices of essential items including electricity.  Mere reducing electricity charges won’t bring cheer on the faces of people. It is the availability of electricity that matters most to people. The State is reeling under power shortage. People, particularly in Jammu region, experience power cuts on daily basis. There is no colony or village which is not subject  to 8-10 hr power cuts. The problem is further compounded when electricity comes and goes in a wink. It disturbs life beyond  any description. The power outage during this summer added miseries to people. Even protests against frequent power cuts did not move neither the PDD nor the Government. The Government must ensure round the clock electricity supply to its citizens though it may entail action against people who steal power or misuse it.
Yours etc…
