Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, June 4: SOS International-an organisation of  PoK displaced persons has ridiculed the recently held polls in PoK and criticized the Indian Government for its non-serious approach towards the affairs in Pak occupied Kashmir and get back the territory  under the illegal occupation of Pakistan.
Chairman of the organization,  Rajiv Chuni  in a statement expressed resentment over the recently held `unconstitutional elections’ in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) which is now under the illegal occupation of Pakistan. He said that SOS International totally ridiculed and ruled-out the so called elections that took place in their native land. Mr  Chuni further stated that PoK displaced persons are bonafide citizens of their ancestral places which are known as PoK and without PoK  DPs’ participation; no election can be called legitimate and constitutional.
“Hindus and Sikhs had lion’s share in the populace of PoK before 1947 and it is evident to all that during Kabbalies intrusion in PoK, Hindus and Sikhs were brutally killed and were forced to abandon their native places. Since, the fact of the matter is that it was occurred way back in 1947 when Hindus and Sikhs were subjected to genocide from the areas of J&K. Only Muslim populace left there and most of the Muslims who were the part of PoK are residing abroad and now Pakistani nationals are residing in PoK. It is clear that Pakistani Muslims participated in the recently held electoral process as they are residing there as PoK inhabitants,” Chuni said.
“Pakistan organized elections in PoK is just a mockery and Pak held it only to pretend its  `so called’ democracy around the globe. The SOS International out rightly reject  Pak’s move of organizing dishonest elections in PoK”, he maintained.
Mr Chuni further said that Government of India’s response over recently held polls in PoK is appreciable but Government’s stand is also under scanner as it lacks its  seriousness to put forth its concerns before Pak. PV Narsimha Rao Government in 1994 passed a unanimous resolution in the Parliament which tells “PoK is integral part of India and it shall be vacated”, but since then nothing has been witnessed on ground. That was just a statement which was only made in the Parliament for no means as Government was not serious to really vacate the PoK from the clutches of Pakistan”, Mr. Chuni reiterated.
