UDHAMPUR, Dec 3: An elderly woman was found dead in a Nallah at village Tirshi, under the jurisdiction of Udhampur Police Station.
The deceased was identified as Tripta Devi (80), wife of Kashmiro, resident of Tirshi Gandala. She was found dead at Tirshi Nallah under mysterious circumstances.
The body was spotted by some locals. On being informed, a Police team from PS Udhampur, led by SHO Chaman Gorkha, rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur for the postmortem.
Cause of death could not be immediately ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
