JAMMU, Nov 28: A 70-year-old man was knocked to death by a speeding car in Jourian area of Akhnoor.
The mishap occurred at about 8 AM today. Identified as Mohan Lal son of late Sunder Dass, resident of Mandiala (Jourian), the man was walking on the road, when an unknown car hit and grievously injured him at Jourian.
The injured man was immediately rushed to CHC Jourian and after providing first aid referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
Akhnoor Police had taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation while the body of the deceased was handed over to his family after conducting postmortem.
