UDHAMPUR, May 3: An elderly man was attacked and left brutally injured by a bear near a forest area at Jakhed, under the jurisdiction of Latti Police Station, here today.
The victim was identified as Des Raj (65), son of Manghtu, resident of Jakhed. He was on way to home when the wild bear attacked him. He was rescued by some locals, who rushed him to PHC Latti.
After providing him first aid, he was referred to District Hospital Udhampur for further treatment. The incident has triggered a panic in the area.
