EJAC projects demands of employees, pensioners

SRINAGAR, June 14: The Jammu Kashmir Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) has urged upon the Lt Governor, GC Murmu to settle the pending issues of the Government employees, pensioners and temporary workers.
While discussing the employees issues senior EJAC leader Syed Gh Rasool Geelani, appealed the UT Government to settle the genuine long pending demands of all the categories of temporary workers including DRW’s, CLS, ITI and need basis seasonal workers, land donors, NYC’s and NHRM workers who have been engaged after 1994 up to 2015.
He pointed out that Government has issued SRO-520 for the regularization of their services and monthly wages but unfortunately Government has miserably failed to implement SRO on the ground.
Geelani appealed the UT Government to make necessary amendments in SRO- 520 especially in the clause of twelve vouchers issue so that their services are regularlized without any hurdles.
The Jammu Kashmir Employees Joint Action Committee unanimously decided to extend their full support to the call of two days protest given by Jammu Kashmir United Casual Labourers Front.
EJAC has also extended their support in favor of these temporary workers who are suffering very badly in these tough times.
The Joint Action Committee has appealed the UT Administration to address all the legitimate pending demands of all the wings of Forest Departments especially removal of pay anomalies of different cadres, enhancement of two and half days along with risk allowances and amendments of recruitment rules and to provide promotion benefits in favour of employees whose promotions are pending since long.
Senior members Abdul Ahad Bandroo, Mohd Iqbal Ganie, Ali Mohammad Mir, Gull Mohammad Mehdi, Farooq Ahmad Rather, Nishat Ahmad Raina, Mushtaq Ahmad Baba, Mohd Ashraf Malik, Asif Masoodi, Abdul Ahad Mir and Mohammad Hashim also attended the meeting.
