Srinagar, Mar 9: A meeting was held by Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) today in which problems faced by the Government, public sector and temporary employees were discussed.
An EJAC spokesman in a statement said the meeting was held at its head office under the chairmanship of Senior JCC leader, President EJAC Abdul Qayoom Wani in which problems faced by the employees were discussed.
The leaders of the EJAC showed serious concern over delay in 7th Pay Commission Reckoned, removal of pay anomalies, revocation of SRO 202, release of pending salary of SSA & RMSA teachers, regularization of employees working under various centrally sponsored schemes like NHM, MGNREGA, Asha workers, Anganwari workers, SBM, delay in regularization of temporary employees, inclusion of Contingent Paid Workers, casual labourers of PSUs, Local Bodies and Municipal Corporation in SRO 520 besides reinstatement of nine terminated employees during 2016 unrest.
“In the meeting President EJAC said that the delay in resolving the issues agreed in principle by the Government with the leaders of JCC and EJAC is serious cause of concern and EJAC leadership has already conveyed their resentment to the authorities at the helm of affairs and any delay in resolving the employee issues will be taken seriously and EJAC will never hesitate to go for state wide agitation if the demands of employees are not met at an earliest,” he said, adding, “all the leaders urged upon the Chief Minister for her personal intervention in resolving the long pending issues of employees.”
