EJAC deputation calls on Chief Secretary

JAMMU, Sept 21:  A deputation of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) today met the Chief Secretary B R Sharma and discussed the issues of the employees.
Led by president of the EJAC  Abdul Qayoom Wani, the members strongly projected the issues of the employees and sought their reddressal at the earliest.  Wani  presented 19 point charter based on the employees’ issues to him. All the issues were discussed one by one.
They referred to the agreement dated July  8, 2012 signed between the JCC and the then Govt and the issues en-listed in the agreement which include the regularization of daily wagers of all the Departments, removal of  pay anomaly of clerical cadre and pre-revised grade of rupees 6500-10500.
EJAC leader assured the Chief Secretary that all the employees under the banner of EJAC shall support in restoration of work culture and eradication of corruption and shall mitigate the troubles of the people but at the same time the Govt should desist from adopting dilly dallying tactics in resolving their issues, otherwise they will be compelled to come out on the roads.
He urged that pay should be released in favour of all the Govt and Semi Govt employees including SSA, RMSA, causal and daily wage employees before Eid. The other issues discussed in detail included  enhancement of medical allowance, revival of weak public sector units and release of 6th Pay Commission arrears and budgetary support to them, inclusion of five (5) years service in favour of ReT and release implementation of Court order regarding transfer of ReT and release and regulating the salaries of SSA and  RMSA  teachers, regularization of in charge officers in all the Departments  especially in the Education department, non- vocational status to the officers of Education Department especially to Head Masters and Principals, holding DPC meetings thrice in a year in every Department, waiving of additional charge of officers, filling up of vacant posts of all HoDs especially the post of Director Local Bodies (which has badly affected the Department) and regularization of  salaries of Local Bodies and Municipal Committees, enhancement in wages and regularization of Anganwadi Workers and Implementation of Minimum Wages Act in favour of contingent paid employees.
The Chief secretary listened them patiently and assured a positive response.
