JAMMU, June 5: Eight persons were injured when a mini-bus crashed into a roadside electric pole on Talab Tillo Road near the Red Tape showroom this evening.
According to reports, the mini-bus bearing registration number JK02BN-6907 was on its way to Talab Tillo from Jammu city when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to ram into the pole.
The injured have been identified as Jyoti Kumari (54) of Talab Tillo, Krishan Lal (60) of Balwant Vihar, Sita Devi (65) of Vishwa Bharti, Fancy Tikoo (58) of Muthi, Sudesh Kumari of Balwant Vihar, Asha Rani of Udhaywala, Amaya of Udhaywala and Raj Kumar (47) of Chatha (Bhour Camp).
All the injured were immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, for treatment. Their condition was stated to be stable, and they were undergoing medical examination and investigations.
The concerned police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation into the matter.
