Efforts on to fulfill Vajpayee’s dream of good governance: Kohli

Kohli-25RAJOURI, Dec 25 – Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Abdul Ghani Kohli today said that the government is committed to provide people with a transparent and accountable administration.

The Minister said this while addressing a mammoth gathering on the occasion of Good Governance Day organized at Kalakote.

The Minister taking strict view of creating a transparent working environment for the people in the state, said that transparency and accountability is the hallmark of present coalition government and any officer/official found guilty will be dealt with iron hands.

“For bringing transparency and accountability in functioning of all departments across the state, various initiatives have been taken up which have started yielding results and a tremendous change is visible in the working of all government units”, he said.

On the occasion, the Minister also conveyed greetings to former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, on his birthday. He said that Atal ji’s exemplary service & leadership has had a very positive impact on India’s growth trajectory and his period as PM has been the golden era in the developmental history of the nation.

The Minister further said that uplifting the living standard of the common people through the medium of development of the state is the priority of the present coalition government. Since the coalition government has taken charge, the state is moving ahead with great enthusiasm on the path of development and many mega developmental projects have been taken up which have started yielding results on the ground, he added.

The Minister while addressing the gathering asked the people to come forward and avail maximum benefits from various welfare schemes and programmes being initiated by the government. He also asked people to play participatory role in the government which is very essential for ensuring equitable development of the area. It will also provide requisite feedback to the government about the steps needed to be taken to ensure successful execution of these developmental projects, he added.
