NAGPUR: Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha has stressed on the need for effective utilisation of available resources for operational readiness at all times.
“Maintenance Command has a major role in maintaining the ‘legacy equipment’ of the Indian Air Force,” Air Chief Raha said at the three-day conference at Maintenance Command which commenced yesterday.
The conference is being held by Station/Unit Commanders of Base Repair Depots, Equipment Depots and other units under the Command.
“There is a need for effective utilisation of available resources for operational readiness at all times,” Raha said.
He appreciated the outstanding professionalism and efforts put in by air warriors in successful achievement of the assigned task.
The progress of various ongoing maintenance activities and projects at various units under Maintenance Command is being reviewed during the Conference.
The Air Chief urged all air warriors to keep pace with rapid upgradation of modern technologies being incorporated by the Indian Air Force.
He presented trophies to the Base Repair Depots and Equipment Depots, who have excelled in respective realm of their core professional competence.
The Air Chief and his wife Lilly Raha, President, Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA) were welcomed at Vayusena Nagar on arrival today.
Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command Pankaj Aneja reviewed the progress of welfare schemes and ventures under progress at stations under Maintenance Command, a defence release said here. (agencies)
