EEGA discusses demands

JAMMU, Feb 21: An emergency meeting of J&K Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (EEGA) was held to discuss the promotion of JE’s to AEs, today.
It was unanimously opined that the mass promotion of Diploma holders to the level of AE made by the Government vide order No: 56-PDD of 2012 dated 28-02-2012 has created an unprecedented situation, wherein the number of Diploma holders promoted were 155 exceeding their 20% quota by 63, but as a matter of fact the number of Diploma holders should have been limited to 92 out of 460 as per revised cadre strength of AEs.
Keeping this in views, it was decided to appeal to the Chief Minister to promote the required number of graduate electrical engineer to the post of AE, so that the imbalance created by the Government orders is neutralized  and the promotion of Diploma holder JEs should not be considered till the correspondent quota is provide to the Graduate Engineers.
