Educational tour for GMC students flagged off

JAMMU, Nov 15: Fifty-two MBBS students of final batch from Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu were flagged off today by Dr Sunanda Raina, Principal and Dean, GMC Jammu for 10-day educational tour to Delhi, Mumbai, Goa and Amritsar from Jammu.
During the tour, the medical students will visit various sites of historic importance. They will also visit various other premier Medical Colleges, understand their working and have interaction with their counterpart students. This will serve the purpose of providing academic and socio cultural information to students.
While flagging off the tour, Dr Sunanda Raina said from now onwards educational tour shall be a regular feature of the institution as such tours are important to give students exposure and confidence for future endeavors.
It is pertinent to mention here that no such education tour has been arranged by GMC Jammu in last 32 years but the Principal of the institution Dr Sunanda Raina took initiative on the request of the students and made it possible.
