JAMMU: Asserting that education is one of the most affected sector due to Kashmir unrest, Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh today said that educational institutions will ”soon” reopen in the Valley.
“Education sector is the worst hit due to Kashmir disturbance but the government is planning to reopen all the educational institutions so that children resume their studies,” Dr Singh told reporters at Katra.
He said that students have suffered a lot due to the closure of the educational institutions, which will soon be open. The Deputy Chief Minister also said that normalcy will soon be restored in the Kashmir valley.
Pertinent to mention here that Education Minister Naeem Akhtar had recently met the Governor N N Vohra and had a threadbare discussion over opening of educational institutions.
Meanwhile on agitating Baridars of Katra, Dr Singh said that their issues will soon be resolved and added that talks are on with the authorities of Shri Mata Vasihno Devi Shrine Board to settle down their grievances. (AGENCIES)
