JAMMU, May 8: All schools, colleges and universities in Jammu and Kashmir shall remain closed on 9th and 10th of May, 2025 as precautionary measures amid war like situation with Pakistan.

Minister of Education, Sakina Itoo posted a message in this regard on the social platform “X”, late this evening soon after multiple missile attacks by Pakistan on various locations in Jammu and Kashmir.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also took to “X” and shared that the Government will review the decision on closure of schools on Monday, which is anyway a holiday. “The situation at the time will determine if the closure is extended or not and if extended, for how long,” he posted.
Meanwhile, Cluster University of Jammu has also postponed all examinations scheduled up to May 16, 2025 while J&K State Eligibility Test Agency, University of Jammu has notified that the JKSET/LASET Examination 2024-25, which was scheduled to be held on May 11, has been postponed till further notice.
