KISHTWAR Nov 22: Minister of State for Transport (Independent charge), Revenue, Public Works (Roads & Buildings), Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Agriculture Production and YSS, Sunil Kumar Sharma today stressed on the educational institutions to pave the way for building a harmonious society and to work with a positive approach in nurturing and cultivating universal brotherhood.
The Minister was speaking during the 56th Annual Day celebrations of Adarsh Balniketan High School, Kishtwar.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister highlighted the role of educational institutions in shaping the future of any nation by inculcating strong moral values to the students which further helps them in building a strong and prosperous nation.
Speaking about girl child education, Sunil Sharma said that there is a need to bring change in the mindset of the society regarding denying of right of education to the girl child. He urged the people especially the parents to enroll girl child in the schools so that they can become self reliant.
The Minister also announced Rs 3 lakh for the construction of administrative block of the school. He applauded the role of teachers and asked the school management to felicitate who have shown good performance in teaching.
Sunil Sharma also distributed medals among the students who have brought laurels to the school in games and extracurricular activities.
Among Others, Executive Engineers R&B, PHE, PDD, Tehsildar Kishtwar, Principal HSS Boys, BDO Kishtwar, BDO Nagseni, BDO Inderwal, BDO Mughal Maidan, other senior officers, prominent citizens, staff and students were present on the occasion.
