Educational institutions celebrate Republic Day with patriotic fervor

JAMMU, Jan 25: Various educational institutions celebrated Republic Day with patriotic fervor.
Government Degree College Jindrah celebrated Republic Day in the college campus. Colorful cultural programme was arranged by the students of the college. Prof (Dr) Rajshree Dhar Principal of the College spoke at length about the relevance of this day. Dr Ashaq Hussain (HoD) Urdu and students namely Manisha Devi, Latif, Shamim Akhter and Anil Kumar also spoke on the occasion.
May Fair Schools at Chand Nagar, Janipur and Chinore celebrated Republic Day. Vijay Basur, Chairperson May Fair Schools, Jammu unfurled the National Flag at May Fair International School, Chinore. On the occasion, students danced on patriotic songs. Winners of different activities were awarded with prizes and certificates. The whole programme was coordinated by Pratibha Bhasin Senior Wing Coordinator along with School Incharge Neha Gupta, Primary Wing Coordinator Nirmal Talashi and other staff members.
Modern Montessori International Pre School Jammu celebrated 72nd Republic Day with great enthusiasm and fervour. The function started with welcome address by Principal Pragya Gupta. She highlighted the importance of the Republic Day. This was followed by different activities like making tricolour food, slogans of different leaders, patriotic songs by children of Kindergarten. On the occasion children made tricolour flag using different pulses. This was followed by March Past by Kindergarten children and song ‘Sare Jahan Se Achha’. All the children were singing with great enthusiasm and waving their tricolour. Power point presentation by class Mentor Shilpa Deol on Republic Day was enjoyed by the children very much. This was followed by hosting of National Flag by Director Sapna Rohmetra. In the end National Anthem was sung by the whole school.
RM Public School celebrated Foundation-cum-Republic Day. The program started with the lightening of the ceremonial lamp by the Chairman Rameshwar Mengi in presence of various guests followed by the felicitation of the dignitaries by the Principal and Incharges of RMPS. The vibrant extravaganza hosted by Neha and Ruhi began with Ganesh Vandana followed by a welcome song. Following it various song, poetry and dance items were performed by the students on the theme Republic Day. Speaking on the occasion, the special guest and ex-administrator Meenakshi recounted the journey and wished that the value of honesty and discipline instilled in our students would go a long way in taking the school to zenith. Director of the school Rakshin Mengi and Rameshwar Mengi, Chairman of the school also spoke on the occasion.
Republic Day was celebrated at the Pathseekers International School Ramgarh. On the occasion, chief guest SSP (Retd) Bhupinder unfurled the National Flag in the presence of Director of the Pathseekers Group of Schools Nimrandeep Singh and Principal Manpreet Kaur. Patriotic performances were given by students of senior wing.
