JAMMU, Aug 14: Various educational institutions celebrated 68th Independence Day with enthusiasm, patriotism and fervour in Jammu City and adjoining areas on the eve of 15th August, 2014 here today.
Celebration of Independence Day was a proud moment for every student of KC Public School to take pride in their Country’s honour and glory. Everyone in the Campus was geared up and enthused for the momentous occasion. The patriotic fervour was vibrantly alive in the Bulletin Board displays and speeches delivered by the students in special assembly. A cultural programme was also presented on the occasion.
School Principal, Amarendra Mishra exorted upon the students to follow the path of righteousness and work diligently to bring laurels to the Country. Headmistress of the School, Sophia Rana presented vote of thanks.
A grand function was organized at Rich Harvest School to celebrate Independence Day, in which students were filled with zeal and enthusiasm to express the feeling of unity and secularism. Students wore tricolour sash and held National Flag during the day. On the occasion, National flag was unfurled by chairman of the School, Gulchain Singh Charak alongwith secretary, Kr Samardev Singh Charak, Trustee Ruchi Charak and Principal, Dr Shivani Singh.
68th Independence Day was celebrated with pomp and show by SOS Hermann Gmeiner School, Jammu in its School premises today. The Programme began with the traditional lighting ceremony by the Principal RK Dhar. The students presented various cultural programmes like patriotic group songs, dances, speeches and skits on the occasion. The vote of thanks was presented by Sangeeta Dhar.
To celebrate 68th Independence Day, a cultural programme was organized by MHAC School Nagbani in the Junior School ground, here today.
The programme began with a speech by Amish Bhat, student of class VIIth-B. Band Master JK Police, Raghu Dev Singh played a melodious tune on ‘Sare Jahan Se Accha’. School Principal, Alok Betab congratulated all on the Day, especially the students who presented the cultural programme.
Sai Shyam Public School and Sai Shyam College celebrated Independence Day with great zeal and gaiety. A cultural programme was organized in which students sang patriotic songs. A card making competition was also held on the occasion. Sai Shyam College Principal, Usha Tickoo and Incharge Principal of the School, Neeru Raina threw light on the significance of this great day.
Luthra Academy celebrated Independence Day with fervour and gaiety. Patriotic songs and dance items were sung by the students. Madhu Luthra spoke on the occasion and lauded the efforts of the students and the staff.
International Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT), Gandhi Nagar celebrated 68th Independence Day with great joy and enthusiasm. Students caught up in the spirit of patriotism celebrated Independence Day by not only dressing up in saffron, white and green colours but also made handmade articles for household utility in tricolour. Director IIFT, Preeti Sultan threw light on the importance of the day.
Silver Bells High School Paloura celebrated the Independence Day with pomp and show in its School premises today. Students spoke on the life history of great leaders including Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru, Subash Chander Bose, M Abdul Kalam Azad and Mahatama Gandhi. The Principal of th School, V K Dutta threw light on the three colours of the National Flag.
To keep alive the flame of patriotism and mark the celebration of 68th Independence Day, the premises of Model Academy, was filled with national spirit and love for the country. Dr Adit Gupta, Joint Director MIER, was the chief guest on the occasion. Daffodils Care Convent Playway School , Jammu celebrated 68th Independence Day with fervor in the School. The celebrations commenced with releasing of balloons by the Managing Director of the School, Narinder Gupta. Children were dressed up in the get up of different freedom fighters and presented many patriotic songs, dances, poems and famous dialogues of the freedom fighters. The Principal, Shikha Puri threw light on the importance of the Day.
Vinayak Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences, Kunjwani celebrated 68th Independence Day with enthusiasm and fervour in the School premises. The celebrations began with the the releasing of balloons and hoisting of National Flag by chairman of the institute, Amardeep Singh. Jodhamal Public School celebrated 68th Independence Day with enthusiasm and patriotism. A special assembly was organized in the school. JK Montessori Senior Secondary School and its affiliated unit JK Little Millennium celebrated 68th Independence Day with fervour and gaiety their respective school premises. Mananging Director, Sanjeev Gupta, Director Academics, Rajni Gupta and vice-principal, Geeta Dixit jointly unfurled the national, which was followed by National Anthem. Various colorful items including patriotic songs, speeches and dances were presented by the students of different classes. The little toddlers made the environment very patriotic by presenting different thoughts related to freedom fighters.
The students, teachers and staff of Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School celebrated Independence Day with a lot of zest and high spirits. In the special assembly conducted for the occasion, students briefly explained social evils being faced by the country and sang patriotic songs. Addressing the students and staff, Principal, Sister Rosamma urged them to practice what was preached to ensure the bright future of the country. Earlier, she also unfurled the National Flag followed by singing of National Anthem by the students.
GD Goenka Public School, Jammu celebrated Independence Day in Goenkan Acres with great enthusiasm. The programme started with the prestigious March Past comprising of four House contigents. The Director of the School, Sanya Bansal unfurled the Tri-colour and took the salute. Fancy Dress Competition was held depicting ‘Unity in Diversity’. Speeches on Independence Day were also read by senior students. The scintillating programme culminated with the singing of the National Anthem.
68th Independence day celebrations started in Delhi Public School, Udhampur. The celebrations started with a beautiful cultural programme prepared by the students. The main attractions of the programme were the colourful dances prepared by the students. The students also sang patriotic songs. Chairman of the school, Dr JC Gupta, who was the chief guest, unfurled the National Flag and addressed the students.
Jammu Sanskriti School celebrated Independence Day with a patriotic fervor. The function started with the welcome address by Shalini Khajuria of class VIII. Patriotic songs were presented by teachers paying homage to great freedom fighters. Afterwards, Raghav Verma of Class VIII presented a beautiful poem on Independence Day. The program ended by the greetings from Principal-cum-vice-chairperson, Rohini Aima.
Independence Day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm at KC International School, Jammu. The programme started with a speech given by the Head girl on Independence Day ‘Freedom in the true sense’. This was followed by a dance and a skit play by the students of class X. Humanity Public School celebrated Independence Day with great joy and fervour. A special assembly was conducted after flag hoisting ceremony and March Past by the students. Apple Kids International Pre-school, Bantalab celebrated Independence Day with great fervor. A special assembly was held in which senior students gave speeches on Independence Day. This was followed by songs and dances by the students of the school. The children took part with a lot of enthusiasm in the songs and dances. Lord Mahavira Playway School celebrated 68th Independence Day” with great pomp and show. The little angels of nursery class came in the dresses of freedom fighters. A singing competition was held between L.K.G, U.K.G, Ist and 2nd class students. The students sang various patriotic songs. The winners were Tanishka, Geetika, Charu, Manu and Yuvraj. The School Principal, Madhu Sharma distributed prizes and sweets among the students on the occasion.
Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar celebrated the Independence Day in the School premises by decorating the School with tricolour flags and Balloons.
