Educational awareness camp organized

JAMMU, Sept 27: All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organizations organized an educational awareness camp in village Gangwan in Marh area of Jammu for underprivileged school going students and their mothers.
During the camp, the students were made aware about the need of education. They were motivated to study. Notebooks and stationery supplies were also distributed to these students to encourage them to continue study.
The mothers of the students were also present as they play an important role in student’s education. They were advised to spend few hours with their wards and help them sit and study. They were also told about the merits of education and its paramount need in the society.
RK Kalsotra, while addressing the students, quoted the struggles of Dr Ambedker, how he used to study with very few necessities and became ‘The Student of the World’ irrespective of his poor circumstances. He asked the students to spend at least 3-4 hours a day for studying at their homes and advised their mothers to develop a habit of sitting with their wards. He also laid emphasis on importance of physical activity and exercise.
He also advised the students and mothers to stop using plastic articles as it is declared harmful for not only environment but human being also.
