POONCH, Mar 11: The posts of Zonal Education Officer and Zonal Education Planning Officer Mandi are vacant from last 3 months due to which teachers and common people are suffering clumsily.
As per information, the School Education Department had ordered transfers and Postings of ZEOs in January in which a female ZEO was posted in Mandi but later within few days she was again transferred to Kotranka zone of Rajouri district but no arrangement was made for the education zone Mandi, leaving the post vacant, while the drawing and disbursing powers have been given to Principal of Boys Higher Secondary School Mandi.
As far as Zonal Education Planning Officer’s post is concerned, Mohd Latief khan was retired in December last year after which the post is also lying vacant from last 3 months, resulting into suffering to teachers as well as the people who want to convey any of the issue to the Department for redressal.
Chairman TJAC Shamim Ansari and other people urged Secretary Education Department to appoint Zonal Education Officer and Zonal Education Planning Officer so that teacher community and people may not suffer more.
