Education sector top most priority of Govt: Sagar

SRINAGAR, Aug 29: Maintaining that the education sector forms one of the top most sectors, the Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Ali Mohammad Sagar has said that the necessary steps have been taken to augment its infrastructure and streamline its working.
Minister was interacting with the students and teaching faculty members of the Government Middle School Daribal, Khanyar during his visit to the old city Srinagar. He was accompanied by senior officers of Education Department and district administration.
He said that the necessary steps have been taken to augment the education sector in the State by launching various programmes besides taking the necessary measures to streamline the working.
While responding to the demands of the students and faculty of the school, the Minister directed the officers to settle all the issues within the shortest possible time so that the infrastructural problems if any are solved.
Mr. Sagar also conducted an extensive tour of the old city Srinagar and directed the officers to address all the issues with regard to the PHE, PDD and R&B etc so that the people do not face any inconvenience in their daily life.
