JAMMU, June 15: All J&K Electric Department Linemen and Workers’ Union (EDLWU) today appealed the Chief Engineer, M&RE Wing, Jammu, to implement the judgement of Court regarding SRO 59 of 1990 read with Government Order No 78-PDD of 1995.
The issue was discussed threadbare in the meeting of the union held here today under the chairmanship of Madal Lal Chalotra, senior leader of the union. The association urged the concerned Chief Engineer to implement the Court Judgement announced on June 11, 2015 at par with similarly situated employees of PDD working in Kashmir Division from the date, the benefit has been extended to such similarly situated employee of Kashmir Division.
The meeting was attended by members from district headquarters of Udhampur, Kathua, Samba, Poonch, Reasai and Rajouri.
