It is unethical that those employees and need based workers who either lost their limbs or severely injured while performing their duties in the Department, have been neglected by the PDD authorities and none of them received any compensation and medical assistance, said president of the Union, Tara Chand.

He also appealed the Executive Engineer to process the compensation case in his (Sunil Kumar’s) favour, as being a need based worker, he could not afford huge expenses on his treatment.
Drawing attention towards the incidents, which took place in E&MRE Division No 2, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, where several need based workers and regular employees lost their lives and several became disabled during the year 2013-14, Chand said till now the department has not taken any action in granting the compensation to these victims.
