JAMMU, Nov 28: All Jammu and Kashmir Electric Department Linemen and Workers Union (EDLWU), Jammu Province, today demanded the Government to implement SRO 381 in letter and spirit.
The demand was raised by the Union in its meeting held here under the chairmanship of its chairman, Vijay Gupta and president, Tara Chand.
During the meeting speakers were of the view that the Linemen and Workers of the department are being neglected and deprived of their right.
In his address, Gupta demanded that SRO 381 be implemented in letter and spirit. He also stressed for providing ex-gratia relief to the extent of Rs 3 lakh to the linemen who died during execution of works on duty and relief from welfare funds to those who expired during duty hours.
The leader further asserted for clearing pay anomaly and conducting DPC meeting of the employees at the earliest.
He urged upon the concerned high authorities to look into the genuine demands of the workers and redress them accordingly.
