EDBOA to start first phase of agitation from tomorrow

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Mar 25: Ellaquai Dehati Bank Officers Association (EDBOA) today warned that it will go ahead with the first phase of agitation from March 27 in view of the rigid attitude shown by the Management of the Bank.
In  a handout the Association accused the management of misleading the public about the agitation as the programme was notified last year but due to unrest in Valley it was not pursued further to avoid inconvenience to the customers.
The Association however said that it will try its utmost to avoid disruption in the services.
The Association accused the management that its wrong planning and policies subject to decisions based on nepotism and favoritism  casual and inhuman manner  in dealing with bank staff, no seriousness in handling the issue of daily wagers engaged by the Bank, merger/closure of the branches without any objective studies first carried out and discussed with the representative bodies, abuse and misuse of authority are some of the issues described as vague by the management. This has forced the Association to give the call for agitation, a handout issued by it here today said.
