JAMMU, May 21: Ellaquai Dehati Bank (EDB) in collaboration with NABARD conducted financial literacy camp through its Nai Basti branch, at their allocated village Gari Garh, Jammu, today.
The objective of the camp was to synchronize the local populace with providing financial access and linkage with bank under GoI financial inclusion programme, besides the branch staff, regional office functionaries, officials of local Agricultural Department and the concerned Sarpanch along with large number of villagers attended the programme.
Branch Manager after interacting with the participants gave details about the general banking which includes deposits and advance schemes and other allied banking facilities. The financial literacy material was also displayed at the venue in the form of charts, banners which the locals appreciated and they thanked the bank officials for this effort.
