NEW DELHI, Dec 18: Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday issued a fresh summons to Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal to appear before it on December 21 in connection with an alleged Delhi excise policy case, AAP sources said.
Kejriwal has been asked to appear before the probe agency on December 21, Sources said
A few months ago, ED arrested AAP leader and MP Sanjay Singh after raiding his residence and grilling him for 10 hours concerning the liquor police case.
Singh is the third leader of AAP who ED has arrested in this case,
AAP’s leader Vijay Nair was taken into custody last year, while former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia was arrested in February this year.
Meanwhile, the BJP’s Delhi unit said Delhiites are expecting that this time CM Arvind Kejriwal will join the ED investigation on December 21 without furnishing any further excuse.
Taking a dig at Kejriwal, Delhi BJP unit president Virendra Sachdeva said, “Last time CM Arvind Kejriwal was summoned by ED but he did not appear before it. Delhiites expect that he will join the ED investigation this time.” (UNI)
