ECPFWA reiterates ‘one rank one pension’ demand

JAMMU, Aug 6: Ex-Central Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association (ECPFWA) has reiterated its ‘one rank one pension’ and other demands and urged upon the UT Administration and Government of India to fulfill the same.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Nagar here today, ECPFWA general secretary, Darshan Kumar Chauhan said that the PM Narendra Modi should fulfill the commitment made by him during his visit to Leh on the eve of Deepawali (in the year 2019) that ‘one rank one pension’ will be sanctioned to the paramilitary forces.
Chauhan also appealed the Finance Ministry to release DA with effect from January 2020 onwards on priority basis as the prices of essential commodities are touching the sky. He also stressed for waiving off 50% Corona Tax enhanced after lock down in the paramilitary forces’ canteens.
He also demanded grant of similar benefits to the BSF, ITBP and NSG being all coming under the section 4 of Act, 1968 which too has been defined by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. Chauhan further demanded framing of separate Armed Force Services and Pension Rules instead of CCS Rules and exemption from New Pension Scheme (NPS) being Armed Forces emerged with Civil Act CCS 72 of Government of India.
The ECPFWA leader also sought CSD Canteen facilities for paramilitary forces instead of Central Police Canteen (CPC) as per previous procedure before 2014, extension of all post retirement benefits on declaration of Ex-CAPF Status similar to Defense Force Ex-servicemen/widows and dependants, restoration of stopped pension/ grant pension of BSF personnel resigned under BSF Rule 19 as per assurance/clarification of MHA and BSF authorities and paramilitary service pay (PMSP) to serving CPMF personnel similar to MSP (Pensionable).
