E-education: NCP MP in RS raises student suicides due to lack of smartphones

NEW DELHI : Nationalist Congress Party member Vandana Chavan here on Wednesday expressed concern over reports of suicide by students from underprivileged sections over the inability of their families to buy smartphones.
Raising the issue during Zero Hour, she cited that there was only 59 per cent tele-density and lack of smartphones had made digital education inaccessible.
Pointing to the 240 million student population, she said, “we cannot fail the young.” Congress member P Bhattacharya demanded setting up of a national helpline for homeopathic medicines to reach every home during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Congress member described the present situation as “dangerous” and endorsed the efficacy of homeopathy in dealing with certain effects of Coronavirus.
He said in his personal experience, homeopathy was “very, very useful” in dealing with Covid-19 effects. House Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu mentioned how the Member had met him on Tuesday and suggested some homeopathic medicines for him. (AGENCIES)
