E-class work begins at GDC Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, Mar 12: Studies shall continue at Government Degree College (GDC) Udhampur through the institution’s online learning portal so that the students do not suffer due to unavoidable circumstances.
This was stated by the GDC Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Nutan Kumar Resutra at a press conference today.
Talking to reporters Prof. Resutra said the College has been at the forefront to introduce latest technology aided teaching and learning for its students from time to time.
He said that GDC Udhampur is the only College in entire Jammu and Kashmir to set up MOOCs and online learning platform for its students. The portal has been developed and operated in-house by the IQAC of the College.
The Principal informed that the platform is available online at http://devikacloud.in and has provision for delivery of study material in various formats like text, PDF documents, live and pre-recorded video lectures, audio podcasts, screen casting and power point presentations.
Earlier in view of the prevailing threat of COVID-19, sanitizer bottles were distributed in the college and faculty members were made aware of the precautions they can take to protect themselves against the outbreak.
