JAMMU, Oct 29: Deputy Chief Minister, Incharge Education Department Tara Chand today ordered scrapping of entire selection list of Class-IV employees of Education Department for Jammu district.
Official sources said Tara Chand has directed the authorities to scrap the list. The Minister has also ordered a Departmental inquiry into the selection list and assured that if anyone was found responsible for anything wrong done in the selections, disciplinary action will be taken against him.
The Deputy Chief Minister took the decision concerned over “false allegations’’ leveled by some political leaders on the appointments.
Following allegations, Tara Chand said he has given instruction to the concerned authorities to scrap the list. The appointments had been made by a committee comprising representatives of Education, Employment and social Welfare Department.
Tara Chand said several Ministers had recruited 60 per cent youths of their constituency in the selection lists of Class-IV employees of their departments but there was no such approach in his department.
“We had maintained complete transparency in the selection process,’’ he said.
