SRINAGAR, May 16: Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh today called on the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Raghubar Das at his official residence at Ranchi.
Dr Singh while extending invitation to the Jharkhand Chief Minister to visit Jammu and Kashmir for Annual Amarnath Yatra said his visit will send the desired positive message to the people of Jharkhand to travel to the State.
Dr Singh further requested the Jharkhand Chief Minister to take good care of the students of Jammu and Kashmir studying in various colleges by providing all the necessary facilities and other related things to them. He said by studying in different States of the country, J&K’s students get the necessary exposure and the cultural exchanges also takes place, which is vital for overall development of the youth.
Dr Singh also discussed the developmental scenario of Jammu and Kashmir and apprised the Jharkhand CM of various flagship programmes undertaken by the BJP-PDP coalition for sustained development of the State. He also hoped that the two states would also partner some developmental programmes, especially in energy sector, in future.
