UDHAMPUR, July 9: A Probationer DySP at Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy sustained head injury when the ceiling fan in his room fell on him, here last night.
The injured DySP, namely Rajesh Chandan of Udhampur was rushed to hospital where he was discharge after first aid and medical examination.
Reports said that incident took place when the trainee officer was busy on mobile phone while resting on his bed. The fast moving fan’s wing hit his head causing a deep wound which was stitched by the doctors to stop bleeding.
The incident has puts a question mark on maintenance of residential quarters of Police officers in the Academy while some trainees have sought intervention of DGP Dilbag Singh for ensuring necessary repairs.
